During the Saturday evening performance on Saturday, August
13, 2011 Lauren Hadley, Miss 101 Wild West Rodeo 2010 made her last queen run
and handed down here crown to the new Queen.
This year’s 101 Queen contestants were: Ralyn Blakely Newman of Waukomis, OK,
JadeAnn Anson Black of Ponca City. OK, Tori Walton of Newkirk, OK, Kandis Lorene
Rupp of Marshall, OK, Rebecca Jo Nester of Ponca City, OK, Savannah Caroline
Brisco of Perry, OK, and Tara Ashley Smith of Ponca City, OK.
The 101 Wild West Rodeo Queen’s Contest is sponsored by Osage Casino.
The contestant’s beautiful flowers are donated by Carriage House Flowers here in
Ponca City, the contestant's sashes are donated by Creative Monogramming also in
Ponca City, the Queen chaps are maintained by Leather, etc. the Horsemanship
Sponsor is Dr. Tim & Kathy Gilbert with Play Pen Arena, the Queen’s photo shoot
and autograph sheets are sponsored by Cope Photography of Ponca City, the Queen
Luncheon sponsor is the Ponca City Country Club, Host Hotel is Comfort Inn &
Suites of Ponca City and the 101 Queen Directors are Dr. Tim Blanton and Crystal
Bickford.
The Queen contestant’s buckets had donated items from: Brandt’s Ace Hardware,
Blanton Chiropractic of Ponca City, Dr. Jim Highfill. Head Country. Ten
Pennington with Premier Design Jewelry, The Bag Lady, J.W. Cobbs Restaurant,
Tractor Supply. Abbey’s Hallmark, and Maurice’s.
- Horsemanship Winner: Tara Ashley Smith of Ponca
City, OK. - receiving a handmade Leather breast collar from Garroutte
Products, your local home town saddle & tack manufacturer.
- Ticket Sales Winner: Tara Ashley Smith of Ponca
City, OK. - receiving a gorgeous leather weekender bag from Darling
Companies in Lamont, OK.
- Speech Winner: Savannah Caroline Brisco of Ponca
City, OK. - receiving a handmade leather pillow from Dennis & Brenda
Schneeberger of Custom Mowing.
- Miss Congeniality Winner: Kandis Lorene Rupp of
Ponca City, OK. - receiving a leather, hair-on clutch purse from Osage
Feed and Tack.
- First Runner-up was: Kandis Lorene Rupp of Ponca
City, OK. - receiving a Sterling Silver bracelet from Nga Ly Wells,
State Farm Insurance and a wool blanket with engraved Leather from Garroutte
Products, your local home town saddle & tack manufacturer and Laser Mill.
- The 101 Queen well receive a traveling tiara and sash
hand-beaded by Ponca Tribal Member Rosetta LeClair, whom was in attendance
and traveling hand-made Queen chaps by Leather Etc., Joyce Crouch of Ponca
City.
- She will also be receiving a Queen’s head stall and
breast collar from Garroutte Products, your local home town saddle & tack
manufacturer.
- $200.00 in gift certificates donated by Ponca City

Miss 101 Wild West Rodeo Queen 2011 is Tara Ashley Smith
of Ponca City, OK. and she was crowned by Rosetta LeClair, Ponca
Tribal Member and Miss 101 Wild West Rodeo Queen 2010, LaurenHadley.
