The "Jason Savory Band" will be providing a FREE Concert
immediately after Friday & Saturday night's rodeo performance on the east-side
of the arena. Meet the cowboys & contract personnel, visit with some old friends
or maybe make some new ones.
Led
by front man Jason Savory (Ripley, OK), this grass-roots, altcountry combo
provides a raw, energetic style that is filled with soulful melodic nuances!
Jason released his second album "Game of Life" in January of 2008 and has
received radio play for several of his songs such as One Horse Town, If I Were a
Pirate, and the newest release Becky's Bible.
Travis Woodson (Dewey, OK) keeps the beat on drums with a smooth, hard-hitting
manner that leaves you wanting more. Kyle Hohlier (Moore, OK) lends a fresh,
funky sound on bass that’s sure to keep you on your toes and like a bullet just
out of its chamber, lead guitarist, Pedal steel, mandolin and back up vocalist
Michael Mayes (Hennessey, OK) rocks the house with signature licks that
transcend country music. Newest member Travis Wackerly (Moore, OK) splits time
between acoustic guitar, fiddle, and mandolin to give the band that extra edge
that pushes them above the rest.
If not on the road playing shows or working on tracks for the new album, you’ll
find these guys mending fences, working cattle, fixing tractors, hunting,
fishing or spending time with family and friends. “These guys have got what it
takes to be big, so catch them while you can,” said Chad Weaver, Program
Director/Host of The Crossroads radio program, 98.1 KVRO in Stillwater, OK
